A Magical Mobile for Baby’s Room
Create a dreamy stars-and-moon mobile with a crescent moon and small stuffed stars in soft pastels, hanging from a wooden hoop.
Materials
- DK cotton yarn in white, yellow, mint, pink, lavender
- 3.5mm hook
- 10-inch wooden embroidery hoop
- Polyester stuffing
- Fishing line for hanging
Stars (Make 5-7)
Make star points with ch 2, SC, increase, then join 5 points. Work SC around. Make 2 sides, stuff, sew together.
Moon
Chain 20. Work SC rows, increasing on one side and decreasing on the other for crescent shape. Make 2, stuff, sew together.
Assembly
- Wrap hoop with white yarn
- Cut fishing line at varying lengths
- Attach stars and moon at different heights
- Add 3 hanging strings, join at top
Safety
- Hang out of baby’s reach — for looking only
- Secure knots with craft glue
- Remove when baby can sit up
